Using below method you can use timer method in QTP9.2,
StartTime = MercuryTimers("Timer").Start / 1000
' Operation 1
' Operation 2
EndTime = MercuryTimers("Timer").Stop() / 1000
TotalTime = EndTime - StartTime
Msgbox ""&TotalTime
